I love kids, being able to work with these kids was such a heart warming experience. I was able to really get close with them and bond with them. I had never really experienced working with special education before but it was so amazing to watch the kids grow in just a month. I’m thankful to have been able to impact their lives just as they have impacted mine.
What I wish was different
I wish it was a little closer to where I lived. I had to wake up very early to beat traffic and would often get to work an hour or so early which isn’t bad at all. It was an overall good experience.
Advice
Patience is so key, be understanding and patient with the kids. Really listen to what they are saying, they may be in special education but they are just like any other kid and shouldn’t be treated much differently.
