I enjoyed the opportunity to be directly involved in decision-making and work impacting people with disabilities. I routinely went to the hill, attended coalition meetings, and sent Senators letters in support (or against) their legislation. Disability has a fundamental role in every regulation that exists, so it was exciting to be a part of advocating for a cycle of change.
