I loved working with the kids and my fellow counselors were amazing. A special shout out to Crystal (supervisor) and my Head Counselors: you guys do so much for us, and I can’t thank you enough for giving me this opportunity.

Summer Camp

What I liked
I loved working with my kids over the summer and just having the opportunity to build a savings and stay busy over the summer was awesome
What I wish was different
Applying earlier, I didn’t know about it until later into the summer and was told by a coworker at my other job. And I needed a second job to pay for rent so i wish I had applied earlier in the summer
Advice
Try and find a job you like and enjoy doing. Had many coworkers that disliked working with kids, and didn’t like the summer job and got that’s you, it’s ok to find a job that you enjoy doing

Lead Summer Camp Counselor

What I liked
It was an amazing experience to be a lead this summer! I was able to gain clerical experience all while managing kids and summer camp employees.
What I wish was different
I wish I was given the opportunity to work a little more closely with the summer camp employee’s as their job is intense.
Advice
I advise you spend as much time as you can with the summer camp kiddos because the summer goes by fast and saying goodbye is the hard.
