I was trained quickly and was given the opportunity to learn a variety of skills. The managers placed their trust in me and allowed me to determine the order I performed my various tasks.
What I wish was different
There was often confusion about the scheduled hours of work per week. Sometimes workers were scheduled for 40 hours but then were either let go early or they were expected to work over 40 hours with very little notice.
Advice
Be flexible and willing to try new tasks. The more skilled a worker was in a variety of departments the more likely they were to be kept on if hours were being cut.
