Digital Marketing Intern

June 2022 • San Jose, CA

What I liked

I loved how this company truly values the opinions of students and how everyone is honestly so supportive regardless of what position you have in the company. It truly feels like there is very little role hierarchy and it's so fun to be working here. Your ideas are contributing to the actions of the company and it is awesome since managers here really respect your opinions and ideas. The internship pay is also very amazing for interns compared to many other companies, and there are SO many fun intern events that they put on for us.

What I wish was different

I do wish that my manager was located on the west coast but other than that I actually find remote work to be really flexible. Because I was able to work remotely, I could come to the office whenever I wanted which was nice. I was also able to travel to Hawaii during my internship and also was able to go to the AWS summit in 2022 to help the Spot Marketing Team.

Advice

I would totally recommend working here. If you are wondering about how to "stand out" just really show your personality and really emphasize the 'WHY" of why "YOU" want to work here. It is incredibly important to highlight your skillset, but it is also important to show your authenticity. At the end of the day, don't work for a company that doesn't allow you to be yourself.
