I liked the exposure to the subculture of experimental film preservation/distribution. I met a lot of interesting film scholars and working filmmakers that were part of the beat movement in film in the 60s. I got to watch a lot of work that I would have otherwise not even have had access to. MM was nice and tried to make the experience interesting and enjoyable for me.
What I wish was different
I wish my work was more structured. My actual tasks were given on the fly and sometimes felt scattered. Also communication was very inconsistent.
Advice
Since this internship is on park avenue I would recommend packing a lunch as lunch hours in the area can get hectic.
