Lots of hands-on experience, you start learning day one. Every day was variable, new and different animals arriving every day. Teaching environment was heavily emphasized. The vet techs that we worked with were absolutely incredible.
What I wish was different
Slightly more interaction with Veterinarians themselves would have been great.
Advice
It's a tough job emotionally-- make sure you have the emotional capabilities to handle it.
