What I liked
They gave me the opportunity to do real client work and taught me what I needed to know to do so. It was great working with a group of other interns because we got to learn processes together and work in a team of similar levels of experience. They also provided the interns with professional development opportunities like resume and portfolio reviews.
What I wish was different
Honestly, it was a great experience overall. It comes with the downsides that all agencies have – a good or bad client can make your work interesting or lackluster. If you're interested in agency life it's a great place to be.
Advice
Make connections with the people in other departments! They were very open to me exploring outside of my immediate position to learn new things and processes. Plus, it's beneficial to get a full picture of the inner workings of the agency.
