I liked the ability to see first hand how a large law enforcement agency functions. I also enjoyed being able to have a hands on internship that allowed me to be a part of the parole process.
What I wish was different
The only major thing I would have liked to see different was the opportunity to do more than sit with the officers in the office. A Parole Officer's job is much more than just desk work and I would have liked to see that.
Advice
Get to know the officers and they will make your experience that much better. Don't just sit around and wait for work, ask if theres anything to do and if not make your own work.
