What I liked
My focus in this position was to help plan, organize, and prepare for New York Cares' annual Winter Wishes program. This internship also brought me to different areas who were in need all over New York City. Not only was I able to experience the work done behind closed doors, in the office, but when an extra hand was needed, I was put on projects that took place to support less fortunate neighborhoods. I was able to work hands on with resources, neighborhoods, and their occupants on various projects for children, senior citizens, and even public spaces.
