I liked that I was able to work in a (major) city government, where I was able to understand the processes that the Department of Buildings uses to work with licensed professionals in NYC, as well as the analytical projects and reports, which are where my interests lie, that I had the opportunity to participate in and present alongside my supervisors.
What I wish was different
I wish the amount of work was more consistent on a day-to-day basis, but it was mostly dependent on the level of work being done, as well as the amount of work that was necessary to by completed each day/week.
Advice
I would advise that someone with a similar interest in Data Analytics should seek out internships in this field of work, as it will afford you the opportunity to learn from and work with many different people with different backgrounds, titles, and expertise, as it has afforded me.
