NYC DEP is a fantastic organization that does great work. I enjoyed working in both the lab and office and liked the people I worked with
What I wish was different
I wish it was a bit more science based, rather than office based, but that is hard in a public organization without certifications.
Advice
You get to go on trips, if you can go up to the kensico eastview connection project, go, it is quite a site

What I liked
This was a very interesting internship. My supervisors was amazing, he brought me in to work on many of the projects he was working on alone with the main project for my summer.
What I wish was different
Have some additional site visits.
Advice
Take advantage of every opportunity to go and visit different places.
