The internship provided extremely transferable skills that I will have for the rest of my finance career. I met with finance professionals on a weekly basis and expanded my personal network and knowledge of finance careers simultaneously.
What I wish was different
I wish that the internship had more time for interns to connect with one another. Intern events were extremely valuable and allowed us to get to know our potential future coworkers.
Advice
Utilize all your time during the internship period. There are tons of resources available for interns at New York Life.
