Very flexible hours, amazing staff and volunteers, and you can wear headphones while you do your work. You learn a ton of practical hands-on skills that you can apply to everyday life that you don't learn in school. Newman Center leadership will listen to your complaints and help you achieve your goals in whichever way they can. Awesome part-time campus job.
What I wish was different
It can be physically demanding some days (mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, moving tables/chairs) but that is the nature of the job.
Advice
I would encourage anyone who is looking for a part-time campus job to apply, however, if you don't like the idea of moving heavy objects occasionally or doing some outdoor work, maybe the job isn't a right fit for you.
