What I liked
Commercial real estate is a very social industry so I was constantly able to work with a diverse group of people as well as work with new startup tech companies in Silicon Valley. On a weekly basis, I attended property tours where I got to shadow different brokers which I found very interesting watching them interact with clients.
What I wish was different
Nearly every day, I had to update at least 75 properties on their database and I wish I could have done a more diverse set of tasks.
Advice
Don't worry about asking questions or asking for help because the professional staff don't expect you to know anything about their processes. In addition, utilize your time at the company and get to know everyone because they could be the one to help you out later down the road.

What I liked
I was able to talk to many different people in the company and learn what they do. We were able to learn about all the different sectors in the company. They did a good job of offering career advice while teaching us about what they do.
What I wish was different
I wish that we had rotated through even more people so that we were able to learn more.
Advice
It is a great opportunity to practice your networking skills so do not be afraid to reach out to talk to people. Everyone is very eager to share their experiences.
