Web Applications Developer

What I liked

I loved being able to use things that I had learned in class. I have been working there for about a year and a half now and it has been a lot of fun utilizing my classwork in a professional setting.

What I wish was different

I wouldn't change anything really, my hours are flexible, I work from home, and the people that I work with are awesome!

Advice

Apply for any and all jobs that interest you, the worst that could happen is that you don't get it and you are no worse off. But who knows, you might get it.

Water Meter Installer

May - September 2018 • North Logan, UT

What I liked

The atmosphere was pleasant, and I had some of the best coworkers ever. My coworkers were fun to be around as well as instructive and patient where needed. I also liked listening to audiobooks while I worked, which was allowed.

What I wish was different

That the shipment to replenish NLC's supply of water meters had come in at the beginning of summer, rather than at the end.

Advice

It wasn't an internship, but despite that I got insight into mechanical systems and machines. If you keep your eyes and ears open, you'll learn things about engineering (or your profession) that you didn't expect to get out of an ordinary job.
