What I wish was different
COVID caused some struggles, mainly with how staff could spend time off. Days can get long, but lean on your co-counselors for support and let people know if you need some time to yourself. The group-living environment can take adjusting for some people.
Advice
It was a great experience - I was way out of my comfort zone as I was immersed in a new world for 2 months. I made memories and formed solid friendships.
