I liked having a chance to learn new skills/tools and work with more experienced professionals. I also enjoyed being able to create many useful projects and pieces of content to help other students, faculty, and staff at OU. And I loved being able to work from home.
What I wish was different
I wish I had invested more in my work-from-home setup (better chair, larger monitor, etc) to make my job easier.
Advice
Communicate with your boss and make sure you understand what their priorities are. Don't overwhelm your boss with messages and unnecessary communication. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you really need it, but briefly try to figure out things on your own first before you ask them questions. Being an independent, self-motivated learner is one of the most important skills you can cultivate.
