I loved being able to still connect with my students with autism! It’s hard for their parents to work at home through the pandemic while still being able to be there for their children.
What I wish was different
I wish there were more resources provided to the parents during the beginning of the pandemic. Most of their jobs either let them go or had to pay them less, which overall made it difficult for them to provide for their families. I appreciate how i was still able to be a sort of normality in their child’s life by creating a virtual experience for the children.
Advice
No matter what obstacles you face, you will get through it! There’s always going to be something in your way but learning how to maneuver around it is one of the best skills to have.
