What I liked
I liked working with the staff, who are so welcoming and great to work with. Additionally, by doing various tasks (ex. writing congressional proclamations, speaking with constituents, planning events), you learn so much about how the federal government affects local communities.
What I wish was different
Advice
If you would like to intern in the Congressman's district office, you definitely need to be a multitasker and adaptable. Work on a daily basis depends on the day, but it is very rewarding, and you learn so much about how federal government policies affect communities on a local level.
