I really enjoyed working for a member of Congress because the environment is very fast pasted. The work that you do as an intern seems insignificant at times but you do very important tasks. Working for Congress gives you a chance to be in the center of American politics as it happens.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time in DC and in this office because I felt that just as I was beginning to feel accommodated, my time was up and it was time to return to California. If I had more time, I would have been able to make more connections.
Advice
Take advantage of Washington, DC. and make connections as soon as possible. Take every opportunity to learn outside of your office because you never know what opportunities are just around the corner.
