I enjoyed having the opportunity to see all of the work that goes into the policy making process and being able to take part in it.
What I wish was different
I wish that had taken advantage of more of the extra activities available - such as visiting the Senate side of the hill.
Advice
Some of the phone systems are very old, so be sure the call is actually on hold before putting the phone down. Also take time to explore DC, but make sure you carry an umbrella (the weather is very random) and hydrate - it’s really hot over summer.
