This is not a typical internship position. I was given a legitimate amount of work to do each week, some of which was normally completed by full time staffers. It was very fast paced, but well worth it.
What I wish was different
There is a very small window of training and time for understanding before you are thrown into the fire and asked to perform. It is also working long hours, and going unpaid.
Advice
Stay well informed on current events and make efforts to learn very quickly.
