Students interning with Sen. Kaine’s Virginia Beach office will have the opportunity to learn about the legislative process and get a first-hand look at how the U.S. Senate works. Full-time and part-time internships are available. The summer session is reserved for rising seniors in college. The fall/winter and spring sessions are open to students at any point in their college careers. Preference will be given to Virginia residents and in-state college students.

Due to the large number of applications we receive, my office is unable to offer an internship to every applicant.

Fall Semester: August 15th
Spring Semester: December 13th
Summer Semester: April 15th
