The Bronx District Attorney’s Office investigates and prosecutes crime, assists victims, and works with police and the community to implement crime prevention strategies to improve public safety and the quality of life of the Bronx’s residents. Much of the Office’s work is handled by the Criminal Court Bureau, Gangs/Major Case Bureau, the General Crimes Division and the Investigations Division. In addition, specialized units like the Crime Victims Assistance Unit and Community Affairs have direct contact with, and services for, members of the public.
