I loved that every day I did something that directly impacted our national security policy. I was given a good deal of responsibility, and I also was able to attend a number of important meetings between senior U.S. and Korean leaders.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been more opportunities to connect with other interns of a similar age. I was one of two undergraduate interns and one of the youngest workers at the Pentagon.
Advice
Be prepared to work in a majority military environment.
