I liked the hands on experience that I received, both in the field and in the lab. I also enjoyed getting to visit locations that very few people will ever get to see. Getting to see nature be almost entirely untouched by humans was a special privilege.
What I wish was different
I did not like getting paid once a month. I also did not like working in the heat for 12+ hours a day. Being away from home a lot was also really difficult.
Advice
Bring a lot of sunscreen and a lot of bug spray. Extra clothes as well!
