What I liked

Worked with a small team of less than 10 people (including the interns) to put on one of the largest music festivals in the Southeast. Very free and open work environment. Ideas and opinions were always encouraged. Team was very personable and family-oriented. Because there was so many moving parts and such a small team, you had the opportunity to really learn and explore the “ins and outs” to successfully put together a festival and smaller events leading up to it. Super flexible with schedule as well.

What I wish was different

There were a few days where it was slow for interns (which was completely understandable) but there was always something to do.

Advice

Be yourself and take initiative! The team is small so everyone’s roles are clearly defined and super essential to the success of the festival. They really embrace your personality and music tastes and will always be open to new opinions and ideas. If you’re into the entertainment/music/festival industry, this is definitely a great experience to learn, grow, and network.
