I loved the staff, seeing the preparation leading up to elections, and personally interacting with newly naturalized citizens at nautralizaiton ceremonies to register them to vote. Seeing their passion and excitement to be a United States citizen made me appreciate my citizenship more.
What I wish was different
I wish I had spent more time interning and that I was able to rotate and do more in the office. I was mainly involved with voter outreach and registration.
Advice
Keep your eyes open and ears open to new experiences and stories people have to share about their journey in becoming a U.S. citizen as well as why people vote or do not vote.
