I loved the people in the team and how encouraging the environment was. Customer service is their main priority, which I believe created such a warm environment for both the employees and customers.
What I wish was different
I wish that cashier goals would have been managed differently. It gets really difficult to get customers to join reward programs when you know they are regulars.
Advice
It is very important to care for customers. Whether they be angry or just upset about something, it is always important to do the best you can to de-escalate the problem. Caring for them and trying to be intentional gives them a reason to come back.

What I liked
Orchard Supply Hardware provided corporate experience. Because it was a small and local company, everyone cared for another and wasn’t very tight knit.

I wish the company wasn’t closing down.

Whatever you do, give it your 110% and your hard work will be noticed.
