I liked how I got the chance to see all sorts of aspects of running a small business. It was cool to see that the work I was doing was actually having a positive effect on the business. I also really liked how I was able to work within an industry that I have a ton of interest in. Doing cold-calling was a great way to step out of my comfort zone since it was something I had never done before.
What I wish was different
If things were different I would have rather been in person working more rather than doing most of the work remotely. Even though it was hard to get together during the pandemic, it felt difficult to work as a team since all of us interns were located in different areas.
Advice
If you really want to get the most out of your experience, put pride into everything you do. Since this is a very small business your work can have a huge impact. Going above and beyond will ensure that you will get a good taste of what its like to operate behind the scenes of a business.

What I liked
I loved that this company offered an internship that was super hands on. I enjoyed working with other students from Nichols and getting to know them. We all had amazing communications and worked together through a lot of our projects it made it feel like we were not remote. It was an amazing learning experience for a marketing internship and I hope whoever does it for the fall enjoys it as much as I did.
What I wish was different
I do wish we were able to complete this internship in person or half and half with some days remote and others in person. It was hard sometimes to get things to each other because we were always trying to reach one another through the phone. But with that being said it was a lesson we learned for the future.
Advice
A piece of advice I would give for this experience is to be patient and make sure you are putting your best work into everything you do. You are given so much responsibility in so many different projects throughout the internship, and being confident with the work you produce will help a lot.
