I wish that management had been straightforward. They promise a full-time job with employment benefits, 401k, yearly bonuses, and ample opportunity for growth. However, they only intended to have me for three months doing menial tasks and let me go due to "performance" reasons. I asked them what specifically were they talking about, but they refused to answer.
Advice
Do proper research on the company you apply too. Handshake does an amazing job connect us to reputable firms like J.P. Morgans, Sullivan & Cromwell, etc., but smaller firms deserve an extra level of scrutiny.
