Learned a lot of new skills, and got to see into both commercial and defense manufacturing processes in depth. The company culture was extremely hard working, and the employees took a lot of pride in their work.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more of a formal introduction to our responsibilities and how we performed day to day tasks. Most of the work the interns did was learned on-the-fly or by asking around until we found a satisfactory explanation.
Advice
Chanute, Kansas is a very small town. Orizon will work with you to find housing, but we searched for over a month before we found something. Be prepared to start looking for places to rent far in advance. There's a great sushi/hibachi truck in town that has deep fried rolls.
