What I liked

During my internship, I had the freedom to create whatever type of programs and enrichment experiences I wanted. I also had the opportunity to interact with a generation that I would not have been able to otherwise.

What I wish was different

Although I appreciated the freedom, I wish I had a little bit more structure to the internship. Also, I wish that I could have done the internship for longer. 8 weeks was not quite enough time to do everything that I wanted to do.

Advice

If you are interested in the arts and hospitality, this experience is for you. Also, if you prefer working alone but enjoy hanging out with people, this is a wonderful opportunity to do so. My advice for anyone doing this internship in the future is to interact with as many people as you can, and make as many long-lasting relationships and connections as possible.
