The art center is a beautiful space where kids from ages 6 to 18 took part in week-long art classes. I loved witnessing the confidence sprout from kids who would come in not knowing an art skill and would happily leave with the projects that they made during the span of a few days.
What I wish was different
I wish that there were additional resources for students from low-income backgrounds to partake.
Advice
Don't have expectations for the entire experience and for the day-to-day activities. I was amazed every day and it was great to not know what was happening all the time but enjoying the time making art with kids.
