What I liked

I've been treated like a full-time employee in my time here. I've been given tasks/projects to complete by specified deadlines and I receive help when I ask. The environment has been very welcoming and supportive of asking questions. People are very willing to help you even if it is something small like a technical issue, or even more complex issues like learning new programs. One of the great perks here is the flexible hours! For my position, I had to be there during the core hours of 9:30-2:30, and then it is my responsibility to get to 40 hours by the end of the week. Usually I would put in more hours Monday-Thursday so I could leave on Friday at 3, and have more time for the weekend!

What I wish was different

At the beginning of the position, it was kind of slow getting work to do and the work seemed like it was just something they didn't originally had time for, and pushed it to the interns. I wish that at the beginning there was more of a plan on what work they were planning on giving to the interns.

Advice

In this experience, I have been told even since the interviews, that the biggest part of this job is to ask questions, and I still believe that today. Asking questions constantly has been the best way to learn things and people are always willing to answer then because they have all been in the same place.
