Panera Bread

Cashier

December 2017 • New York City, NY

What I liked

It's easy work and the hours are flexible

What I wish was different

The management isn't the best and the manager doesn't always listen to the employees' needs or availability

Advice

Take the job seriously. Even though it is a minimum wage job, I gained a lot of work experience and it has taught me how to manage my time and finances.

Food Service Worker

August 2018 - September 2019 • Fort Collins, CO

What I liked

They were very open with my schedule when school started back up. The environment to begin with was very laid back.

What I wish was different

The managers changed and they immediately expected us to remember all the changes to the rules they implemented over night.

Advice

Work in a professional environment. Anything else is just full of stress.

Associates were very nice and the hours were flexible. I was working on my own thing at the same time and they were nice enough to let that take over instead of my cashier job.

Overnight Baker

August 2022 • Keizer, OR

What I liked

It is an independent job working overnight. I have a daily routine I follow and don't have to wrry about customers.

What I wish was different

I wish there was managers on site I am alone all night, they are on call and often helpful when you call but not always able to help. I also feel everyone is trained differently but wexpect the same quality from everyone.

Advice

Take your training serious it's one month and worth it. This is a job worth your time if it fits you but you are alone in a building all night iwth an alarm system make sure you are comftorable with that.
