Party City

Cashier

June - August 2019 • Rochester Hills, MI

What I liked

The act of meeting many diverse customers was the thrill as well as the welcoming environment provided by my previous co-workers.

What I wish was different

I wished the communication between all co-workers including myself was better. For example, I wish we had meetings about the new promotions (Kazaam; coupons for that day) we would have to present to customers so that we were more comfortable with the information instead of being a last-minute thing.

Advice

In a customer service environment, it is always best to have patience with any and everyone.

Project Intern

June - August 2019 • Rockaway Township, NJ

What I liked

Having access to other interns as well as the employees in various areas within the company for help and collaboration. The environment was laid back but each team of interns had to present to the company’s executives on the last day so there was a lot of pressure leading up to the end.

What I wish was different

I wish they assigned me a project that was more related to my area of study.

Advice

Talk to many people in the company and learn as much as you can from them.
