Pattern

Digital marketer

December 2018 - August 2019 • Lehi, UT

What I liked

I really enjoyed the autonomy and the ability to gain experience in different areas of digital marketing. There was a pick to innovate and create new ideas for improvement which was great for me to have a push to improve myself

What I wish was different

I didn’t like the management structure, but I have heard that they started fixing that right after I left

Advice

Be willing to ask for help and voice ideas that you have but be humble if they aren’t accepted

eCommerce Project Manager

January 2019 • Lehi, UT

What I liked

I learned alot in the beginning -- especially about Excel. Pattern also has a good culture where people are open to helping you. Also since the company's still young you can still make an important impact if you see an area where there's room for improvement. Also I was part time and the hours were super flexible -- I can even work from home whenever I need. Just be sure to get your work done.

What I wish was different

The training process wasn't the clearest/most structured, but they've totally revamped it since. I also sometimes get stuck on doing boring push-buttons sort of work, but the company's currently building out processes that will alleviate that.

Advice

Ask for help and be willing to think outside the box to implement new, better ways of doing things -- even if that's not part of your job description.

Data Scientist Intern

May 2019 • Lehi, UT

What I liked

I think Pattern is an awesome company! I really enjoyed my team members and other coworkers on the development team. I felt like I was a part of the company, not just an intern. I was given valuable projects to work on and meaningful experiences to grow my skills. I learned many hard and soft skills that will help me in my future career. I'm really grateful for the experience I had interning for Pattern!
