What I liked

It was remote and self-directed in terms of when to log hours. Since its an entirely remote company, communication had to be very clear, so it wasn't very formalized; we just had WhatsApp group chats, so I never felt anxious about sending emails improperly.

What I wish was different

I wish there was more transparency around the structure of the company. I often felt aimless in my tasks because I never really understood what they were for in the grand scheme of things. It was ultimately why I quit.

If you're offput by some aspect of a new position, reach out to your peers or supervisors about it.

What I liked

The remote aspect of this job is huge, especially in today's climate. I've also learned so much. I honestly can't describe just how valuable this position has been. The best part is that I am learning from getting hands-on experience, so I am also getting to build a great online portfolio.

What I liked

This is a great company to be a part of. There is a steep learning curve with clear expectations. The workload is at a comfortable pace. Feedback is always given, the team is very knowledgeable, and help is available when needed. Very big bonus that the work is remote, so you get to work with a variety of people outside of a traditional work environment.

What I wish was different

Advice

Communication is everything, ensure to always be checking Whatsapp and never shy away from asking a question. Always better safe than sorry. Also, as a remote position, find your drive and high motivation to get the job done outside the office environment.
