Waitness

August 2018 • Hanover, PA

What I liked

The team is friendly. It is a nice place to work and I have received lots of experience with how to interact with different types of people.

What I wish was different

I wish the pay was more consistent, tips can be good and bad and this inconsistency is frustrating.

Advice

Waitness can be a good job, it will test you under pressure and you have to be able to act and react appropriately. Working in the summer it is busy and you have to be focused. It is a great way to learn your own stress levels as well as putting your self in a position you might not have know before.

Dishwasher

January - September 2019 • New Castle, PA

What I liked

I enjoyed working with my fellow employees. All great people and made working a non-glamours job fun.

What I wish was different

I wish the business did not go bankrupt. One because it was sad to have to leave all the new friends that I have made. Two because this job was the main source of income for some of the employees and many were concerned about finding a new job.

Advice

Working hard and doing the tasks that other employers choose not to do will benefit you in the long run.

Hostess

August 2018 • Topeka, KS

What I liked

I love the friendly environment! I work with a great group of coworkers

What I wish was different

There isn’t anything that I would want to change!

Advice

One piece of advice is to stay on top of when your shifts are. If you know you can’t work a certain day, it’s best to find someone to cover you in advance, rather than at the last second.
