Petoskey Plastics is an environmentally focused plastic film, bag, and resin manufacturer providing superior protection products and solutions for customers worldwide. We serve many industries, including: Automotive, Construction/Home Improvement, Retail Packaging, and Medical among many others. Additionally, our Greencore Products and Resins are derived from our closed loop recycling program, which allows us to take post-use plastic out of the waste stream and put it back into customer products. With our exclusive, multi-layer manufacturing process, we recycle over 30 million pounds of plastic each year.
We have been a privately owned family business since 1969 when we began with just 5 employees and one bag machine. We have since grown to include 3 plant locations with over 400 associates, providing our customers with over 49 years of experience and continuous growth. Our mission has always been simple, yet effective; to earn the appreciation and respect of our customers, associates, and communities.
As said by Petoskey Plastics' CEO and President, Paul Keiswetter, “Daily we dedicate ourselves to continuous improvement, as a state of mind and a way of life for us. We strive to keep our facilities a safe place to work but most of all; we want our company to be a fair and equitable place to spend our working hours."
Petoskey Plastics' benefit philosophy has always been to provide financial security and an improved quality of life to our Associates; ensuring that our Associates can choose a benefit plan that works well for their individual needs. This includes things such as providing wellness reimbursements and different benefit specific training opportunities. Additionally, we work to create an enjoyable working environment by holding fun, site specific events.
Petoskey Plastics is headquartered in Petoskey, Michigan where the company began, but has since grown to include 3 high performance film and bag plants in Petoskey (Michigan), Morristown (Tennessee), and Hartford City (Indiana), with a sales office located in Birmingham (Michigan). Each location is consistently searching for growth opportunities, most recently including a 32,000 sq. ft. extension to our Morristown, TN facility, with the addition of new recycling technology.
