What I liked

I loved the opportunity to research different companies and learn about all the different resources available to pet owners. I also loved knowing that once this company was able to launch its database, it would save pet owners time and money to provide the best care for their pets.

What I wish was different

Since the database was not complete, we were essentially filling out a google sheet. Personally I wish it was more uniform and every intern was putting in the exact same information. Multiple times one intern would go in and “clean up” the document since a lot of them were not actually formatting like the other sheets.

Advice

I would share that it was great to work with a startup company. In our weekly meetings Cally walked us through what stage of the company Phoofolo was in and how it was going about getting funding, marketing, and what investors were demanding from the company. It was a great experience on what exactly a tech-based startup goes through in its beginning stages.
