What I liked

Flexible scheduling while in college and out of college. Love the clients I work with! Locations of clients are local around the Lehigh Valley. This makes for relatively short driving distances. Even though this job had nothing to do with my major (English) in college, I found myself being educated through clients and monthly trainings.

What I wish was different

Consistency in calling clients about scheduling (I usually ask them to call or the office will tell me they will). Sometimes lack of communication by client's families (if a client fell or ended up in the hospital)

Advice

This experience has been very rewarding and humbling. The elderly clients appreciate the help, more than you'll ever know. Even if this isn't your major or area of interest, try it. It puts you out of your comfort zone, and will help you to grow in so many ways. The elderly can teach us so much about life.
