Sales Intern

May - August 2019 • San Francisco, CA

What I liked

I liked how much learning I did on the job every single day, how friendly my team was and all they wanted me to do was succeed at whatever I set my mind on. There were great intern events and great projects I got to work on.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have been a little more open at the beginning of the internship to the role of a salesman.

Advice

Go for it. Just dive straight in and don't look back. You won't be sorry.

Agency Partner Manager

March 2019 • Ogden, UT

What I liked

I love growing my marketing and sales knowledge every single day! I also get to work with some big brands and make sure they perform optimally on the platform.

What I wish was different

I do wish the position wasn’t quite as sales oriented. I graduated in marketing and don’t enjoy that I’m mostly goaled off of revenue.

Advice

If you want to work for a big company and grow in marketing/sales, apply to Pinterest! I am learning a ton and there’s so much room for growth.

Sales Intern

May - August 2019 • San Francisco, CA

What I liked

I liked being able to work with different departments. Everyone was very friendly and were ready to provide help and support whenever I needed it. They understood I was still a student and had no problem with me reaching out to other departments and having sit downs with people outside of my team to receive professional advice. The intern events were great. The sales intern class was very small so we bonded a lot with the engineering interns which were a much bigger group. It was great to meet people from different parts of the world and all coming together for a similar purpose.

What I wish was different

I do wish I wasn't so hesistant dropping into a new world. I was very much out of my comfort zone and had to learn to acclimate to my environment and take a risk.

Advice

Don't be afraid to just jump into the opportunity completely. It's not forever. Although it may feel different and odd, especially if you away from home for the first time, you accepted the job for a reason. Don't be afraid to lose yourself and never look back.
