I liked that my supervisors gave me freedom to do my own projects, I had more autonomy than when I volunteered at other organizations. Also, I like that they are very flexible with their hours.
What I wish was different
Advice
Have ideas on how you can contribute to the organization, but also think about what you want to get out of the internship. Whatever you want to achieve, just communicate with your colleagues and you can make it happen.

I loved how involved I was able to become with the organization and how I was able to learn more regarding politics and laws.

I wish I had been able to interact with patients more.

Break out of your comfort zone and do something you wouldn’t normally.
