I really appreciated the opportunity to initiate my own projects and pitch my own ideas. I felt as though my manager trusted me which inspired me to work even harder in my role.
What I wish was different
In a remote environment, there were times when I would have longer meetings. But for the most part, the meetings were important to check in and provide updates on your progress.
Advice
Assess what you like and don't like and communicate those to your manager. They are really understanding, and you get the opportunity to work on projects that you are truly passionate about.

What I liked
As an intern, I felt I received the perfect balance of autonomy and guidance. There was freedom to experiment and learn. There was grace and patience to fail and make mistakes. There was coaching and instruction on how to succeed in my role.
What I wish was different
As a remote internship during the pandemic, it was difficult to feel a sense of belonging and connection with other coworkers on the team. I recognize this is more due to the reality of the times rather than the fault of the company culture.
Advice
Show initiative and go above and beyond in what is asked. Always look for something to do especially when awaiting instruction.
