Power Source Training Center

Strength and Conditioning Coach Intern

June - August 2021 • Leominster, MA

What I liked

Coach Jim and the rest of his staff are great! They were very welcoming and so were their athletes. Coach Jim really makes sure that you get the most out of your time at Power Source and customizes the experience for every interns interests. The modules you are given and the coaching you do is not an experience you'll get anywhere else and I would highly recommend this position to someone who is looking to broaden their career outlook and expertise in the field of coaching/strength and conditioning. Being able to work with athletes of all ages was beneficial in so many ways. Coach Jim does a fantastic job coaching his athletes to reach their goals while also giving you the chance to learn and grow as an individual.

Coaching Assistant Intern

April - July 2021 • Leominster, MA

What I liked

Coach Jim was absolutely amazing! Everything was very detailed with outside resources given when going through paper work to further your knowledge based on specific topics. You are presented with modules every time you go in, given time to complete them, and then to discuss them with Jim. You make fun connections with the clients that come through and experience a wide range of age groups and experience levels. Through the internship, your confidence will grow as an individual and as a professional. I left having received more knowledge about my Exercise Science major and real life applications of it than I think I have in a regular college course.

Advice

If you can make it in to intern with Jim then absorb everything he tells you, don't be afraid to ask questions.
