I love the hands on experience of getting to know my client on a more personal level. I am responsible for the medical and psychiatric care as well as day to day habilitation. I love the flexibility this provides to be able to have the availability to return to school.
What I wish was different
The state of Nebraska recently changed their funding for this program, which has cut into my salary significantly.
Advice
This is a full time commitment so you must care able the wellbeing of your client before taking on this big responsibility.
