Print and Copy Center

Graphic Designer Intern

January - May 2019 • Riverside, CA

What I liked

The print and copy center is such a small department of CBU but does endless printing and designing for all the other departments. I loved the family-oriented environment and how much time they took to make sure I was headed in the right direction. They allowed me to design freely and to express my input on other design projects. I learned so much about printing and how important it is in the design field.

What I wish was different

I would have liked a little bit more working hours and more independent projects so that I could gain more personal content for my portfolio.

Advice

I would say to all those who are about to begin or thinking about applying to an internship, to just enjoy it and ask as many questions as you can. An internship is there for you to learn and watch those who are in positions that you yourself wish to be in one day. Make connections with your employers and don’t be shy in asking them to be friends be one of your references.
